DIY Dotticure : An easy and colourfull manicure

Hey sweethearts!! Howz life??
Am good, examz went and they were okayish..

Today's manicure is soooo sweet and simple that you will love!!! I had soo much fun while creating this :)

Here is what it looks like,

Under Indirect sunlight..

To achieve this manicure you need..

1. Vibrant nail polishes of your choice
2. A black nail paint for the base colour
3. A dotter or a toohtpick or just the back of a paint brush.

Steps to create this design..

1. Start of with your base colour
2. Dot randomly with each colour till you get the desired dotticure,you can make small or smaller,big or bigger dots.
3. Apply a topcoat and you are done

Cherry Blossom Nails

Hey guys..i hope you all are doing great!! Did you miss me?? (please say yes,*pretty please !* ) I missed blogging so much!! I understood one thing that no matter how much I am indulged in my busy life I always crave for reading blogs along with a cup of coffee or a glass of juice!!Lucky me,I got this chance today!!

Tear Drop Manicure

Hey guys am sooo sorry but I always get caught up in things! This week it was teachers day + traditional day celebration hence no time for blogging!! Okay won't lie,I did had time but I was so tired I just use to slump in my bed :P and guess what minors(sort of mid-sems) approaching soon from Monday!! And yes haven't studied a word for that..well what better than a new manicure to cheer myself up :D
This one is so elegant I am unable to take off my eyes from my hands *.*

Heyyyaaa gurlzz :) This post is for somebody really special.. Please read on to know more :)

"Today I went to the school after a loooong break..A break of about one and a half month since school started..

Many-a-times, I thought of going to school but I refrained, What good was there? Same people who try hard to be friends! ,roaming in the lunch-break all alone near the garden,sitting alone,tricks being played by those girls who have groups;Why do they have to do this to me??But alas, this day came and I had to Go..finally..

I don't like my college much ... weirdos all around with insane or maybe I should say psycho teachers!! No true friends at all..I sat alone on the first bench,gazing hard at me was the blank sheet of paper in my notebook.Buzzing of my mates from all sides encompassed me and I was very uncomfortable and alone... Then the teacher came around, and Man! I was all nervous. She spoke Martian and kept on doing so, I could not understand a single word.I was trying hard not to face her..I had my confidence on an all time  low..although I managed to do few sums correctly,but it couldn't lift my mood either..I sat alone on the bench cold and scared ..AND then..there she was..yelling at me- 'You there!!! U think this advanced subject is a piece of cake for u, Cinderella!! I will send a short attendance notice in your regard which shall surely prevent you from sitting in exams!' The only rescue was to get a med. certificate and get it forwarded by the principal !! It wasn't an easy task for me, and needless to say the Principal was scariest of all..I was chilled down to the bone felt as if am suffocated and really stuck!!"

All About Nail Files

 Hello there beauties!! I hope you all are enjoying your life and having fun :)

I did a through study on ways to maintain length of my nails and avoid chipping and splitting as I love Looong Nails :D one of the important things that I came across was Nail Files and their effect on nails! So I wanted to talk a little bit about Nail Files and how to choose the right one for you..

so let's get started !

Types of Nail files :

1.     Metal Nail Files.

2.     Emery boards or cushioned Nail Files.

3.     Glass or crystal Nail Files.

4.     Stone or ceramic Nail Files.

let's explore them in detail..

1. Metal Nail Files.

This type of file is pretty common and cheap.They basically come in just  every manicure set.  if you use this type of file,I request you to please STOP. Throw it away !! NOW ! 
These are generally the coarsest variety of Nail Files,  Metal nail files tend to last a long time,but they are not recommended as the abrasiveness can cause tearing and peeling in the nails!

2.Emery Boards

These types of nail files can be found anywhere. These are typically made with a base of cardboard or sponge, and the surface is made up  of finely ground corundum, a mineral.A dual-sided emery board has  one side rougher than the other. Emery boards tend to wear out rather quickly, especially when compared to other types. As they are constructed of cardboard or sponge base, the file can bend easily, causing dents in it! 

I recommend using that emery board which has less thickness as it will make filing near and under the side edges of nail easier!They are perfect for taking down the length of your nails!

3.Glass or Crystal Nail File

The crystal/glass nail file is all the hype right now and it's much better for your nails than any other type of file. The crystal/glass type of file is finer than most emery boards and therefore it's easier on your natural nails.I use the above shown glass file myself but I find that it's just not coarse enough to take down the length of my nails because it makes the filing process sooo much longer that way.Although this type  of Nail File is best for cleaning up around the edges of the nail after filing them down/shaping them. glass nail files provide with finer edges thus sealing any nicks or snags and prevent from splitting of nails. They are not as durable as metal if dropped or handled roughly.These are great when you just to remove any imperfection and still have the same length!

4. Stone or Ceramic Nail Files

Stone/Ceramic Nail files are also much like the Glass Nail Files..They are very gentle but once again they are not suitable for taking down the length of Nails but are excellent to provide finer edges and a finishing touch! They are just great for maintenance filing !

Which Ones I Prefer : I use an emery board to take down the length of my nails and then I finish off with a glass or Ceramic Nail file .. But mostly I do maintenance filing just a slight file here and there with glass or stone Nail File to maintain the length of my nails

The Unannounced Absence... And Minion Nails !

Helllloooo my lovelies..

I have been absent without any proclamation my heartfelt apologies for the same...I missed my blog and all of you!! My college started and I was so damn caught up in things!! First I got this shitty viral!!! And I broke two of my finger nails had to chop them all :( then my nan's health went down so we had to take her to Delhi for check-up's and all!! She's getting better now.. :) :D YAY!!

So am back..!! I shopped a lot..so will be reviewing many interesting products in the upcomming posts!!!!

Have you watched Despicable Me ??? If yes then you can easily relate with this Nail Art.. An adorable movie!! My favorite characters include, Agnis,Dr. Cru and cute funny creatures called minions!!

Here is the NOTD inspired by the same..

I used :

1. Flormar Supershine Nail enamel in yellow.
2. White,grey and blue acrylic colors.

Geisha Nails

Hello and a very hearty good evening to all beauties!!! (It's not evening for you??take my hearty greetings for the whole day :) ) so how is the weather treating you?? In my place it's still raining ! My college holidays will be over soon :( (I will have to give up most of my laziness) But then I am missing  my college buddies tooo!! I am new to blogging so I am still evolving!(a lil editting here a lil posting there :P) Thanks for your precious love and support!

I recently saw the movie Memoirs Of A Geisha,personally I loved it.. (If you don't know what geisha's are then this is a must watch movie !)

So this is the NOTD  :) If you will watch or have watched then I am sure you'll relate with this !

There is a basic antique Japanese print on each nail..then on my left hands ring finger we have Geisha..on all other fingers I have white cherry blossoms.. with very light pink centres..

This is one of my finest creations till date!!

 this design is inspired by ROBIN MOSES.

I Used :

1. Irish creme by New U as a base colour
2. Japanese News paper print
3. Black acrylic paint
4. White acrylic paint
5. Red acrylic paint
6. Pink acrylic paint
7. Revlon's color stay top coat..

I got 68 compliments on this  Nail Art..(Yes I do count all my compliments!! :D )

Bare Essentials Remover Pad Review

Helllooo Cutiiiieeesss :) :) I hope that you all are doing  fine!!
Its really depressing for me , 'cuz the new upgraded bloggers interface crashes all the time :( :( :'( :'(
I have to work with this old version  >:(  >:(
Does this happens with you too?? Any suggestions to cure myself of this??

Ok enough of my woes :D
so, today we will be reviewing Bare Essential's Remover Pads! here is what it looks like !

Lets open it :)

Lets start..

As you can see in the picture above I have removed nail polish from my,thumb,fore finger,middle finger and ring finger..the remover pad is worked nicely..it has a subtle fragrance and leaves finger nails moisturised!the pad is in shape..

Am so sorry for this and the next picture quality (my brother wasn't around so I had to work with camera timer ! -.- ) here you can see my right hand is all nail paint free and I have started working on my left hand,thumb and forefinger done! by this time this pad has already lost its remover thing! it was being sticky and hard to work with..it was all crumpled and filled with polish!you can see the pad as well..

Ok so here you see that all my nails are free from polish BUT I had such hard time I cannot express in words!!
I was trying to remove with all my strength..you know it was like a battle !! I really hated this experience!!
my hands were hurting so bad! plus can you see the sticky residue on my right hand's fingers??this resulted when I was working on my left hand! also my finger tips were sticky and a little grey  here and there!!!

My take:

PRO's

1. Easy to carry!
2. Subtle and pleasing fragrance.
3. Keep your nails moisturized.

CON's

1. It claims one pad is enough for 10 nails,which is CRAP!
2. It's 120 Rs. for just 30 pads (plus you HAVE to use 2 in one go!) which is pricey!
3. Becomes sticky and crumpled.
4. Leaves finger tips sticky and nail color residue here and there!

I give it : 2.5/5

And yes if you are wondering if I will buy it ever again,then no! Never!

DIY : Easy Flower NailArt For begginners

Hiiii :) Once again,am writing this post and I can hear thunder..rain is lashing on my window pane..I just want to get a cup of tea or maybe coffee and a novel to curl up..also I usually like to paint my nails during such rainy days .let's get back to the point of concern 'NAILART' :D
So am back with an easy nail art post that can be done by anyone,anyone means anyone !! also you can customize this nail art according to your mood or dress color ..
here is the design..It kinda matches with the cute owl on my blog ! LOL !!

Materials required :

1. White nail paint,mine is Lakme's no. 08
2. A shimmer polish,mine is love letters by NYC
3. Any nail paint of your choice,mine is party with pink
4. Rhinestones (optional)
5. Toothpick or a dotter or a boppy pin or maybe you can use the end of a makeup brush or just the end of a paint brush (I'll like to call them all dotting tool)
6. A topcoat

Steps :

1.Start by painting your nails with the shimmer polish.

2.Make a side swipe with the polish brush itself with the polish of your choice.

3.Make dots on the edge of your side swipe,with the dotting tool.At the very end of your side swipe make a five petal flower with the dotting tool.

4.Put the tip of the toothpick on the center of a petal  and move it towards the centre of the flower..do this to all the petals of the flower(please see picture to get a better idea of what I mean)

5.Now add a rhinestone to the center of the flower or add a dot of the polish you used for the side swipe.
Add a topcoat and you are done!

This design to me is sweet and simple..I really hope that you'll try this..

Antique Nail Art in Gold and Black

Hellloooo people!! First of all am so thankful to all my pretty followers! Love you girls ..your comments mean a lot to me..thanks for your support. :)
Haven't done a Nail Art post lately so here it is.. :D
As the wedding season is about to begin (dunno if it has  already begun :P ) I wanted to work with gold..for like an hour or so I was thinking what to do after painting my nails gold.. :P then I was struck by the combination of gold and black (This combination is  soo tempting.. watch it in action Leopard Print ) and this is what I ended up with .. This one is without the Flash.. It looks kinda antique..

What you need:

1. Gold Polish, mine is Lakme's Color Crush No. 01
2. A top coat,mine is Revlon's colorstay top coat
3. Black acrylic Paint
4. A paint Brush

Steps:

1. Start by painting your nails with gold polish until opaque
2. Draw 6 petal flowers with the black acrylic color (please use the picture for reference)
3. Add leaves.
4. Add small swirls and dots,our main aim is to cover the maximum area..
5. Let your nails dry,and add a top coat and you are done!

This one's under flash..

My Chunky Glitter Polish Haul !!

Hey there!!! :) as promised am here with the glitter polishes..
I really love chunky glitter polishes,but their availability in India was a major issue..so i had to wait long,before I got these Chunky Fairy dusts..It was like I went to this cosmetic shop for inquiring about crackle polish and spotted them..For a moment I could not believe that this was really true!! THE CHUNKY POLISHES in India..
The brand is CAMIEO (I dint had good experience with camieo nailart pens but am ready to forget everything after using these glitter polishes)Wait ,did I tell you that they costed me around 95 Rs each..which is a STEAL for a 10ml bottle (appx)!!
I bought 5 colors..but they don't have names..
Here are the pictures..

This how the front look likes..I soooo love the shape..Actually I love everything about them..!! I won't be showing more of the fronts so as to give better Ideas Of colors (they don't even have no.'s)

1.This Multicolored golden chunky fairy dust has fine golden Glitters,hexagonal golden,red and blue glitters..It's so lovely to go with ethnic wear..

 2.Purrrrrple Chunky Fairy dust!!It has purple micro and hexagonal chunks of glitter.. It's one of my favorites!!

3.Golden chunky fairy dust!! Once again this one has golden micro ans hexagonal glitters..It'll look awesome on red and black backgrounds..

4.This one's again one of my favorites..It's a beautiful Dark Pinkish Red colored chunky fairy dust to me....the constituents are same..micro and hexagonal glitters..

5.The COOL BLUE!! this is Marine Blue chunky fairy dust to me..With this I did this manicure American Blue !!the constituents are same ,micro and hexagonal.


Now,
MY TAKE :

PRO's

• Affordable,and rightly priced.
• The formula is thick,which gives a smooth surface on drying.
• Variety of colors.
• With two coats you are good to go.

CON's

• I couldn't find shades like green and pink..
• The bottles don't have names on it..
• Availability is an issue.(I went again there but they had just a purple one left..so go grab them ASAP)
• After three days I saw some fine cracks ,they were like between base nail paint and top coat very slight cracks which couldn't be felt as they were inside, between the layers..I dunno what that was might post a pic next time I try it..maybe I din't let the polish dry well and applied another coat..

THEY GET :  4.8/5

A swatch..I applied all Of these to make "PARTY OF GLITTERS"

A Beginners Guide To Nail Art Part 2

Heeeelllllooooo There :) am back from holidays and as fresh and as active as ever..
Here I have few tips and inspirations for you..
at first go through this to start..A beginners guide to nail art part 1

1.when it comes to nails always know.. "less is more"

2.Always try your new nail art on a piece of paper..If possible on your old manicure which you are about to remove..

3.Try learning nail art from youtube..it's like a place filled with nail art from basic to advance level.

4.Try doing nail art after applying topcoat so in case something goes wrong you can always go back and wipe it,the top coat will prevent your base color so you don't have to start all over again..

5.you might like to use remover wipes as they retain acetone longer..

6.have q tips handy as they remove nail polishes from cuticles easily.

7.When doing water marbelling please know that polishes with runny texture will work..and those with thick texture will give a hard time..

8.Please don't loose hope..you'll fail sometimes..but the one who continues to practice will succeed.

Quickie Post!!! Chunky Glitter Mani

Hey there..It's dead of the night here and I am super Excited !! Will be leaving tomorrow for Gujarat..After Delhi & Panchmarhi its 3rd place we are going for holidaying..at the moment MP's having downpours and temperature have sunk a lil low and I have been craving for sunlight,hope my cravings are satisfied there! :D ok now back to the topic of our concern NAILS yep so I will Donne this look..Its a very easy but utterly glamorous look,another perk : Long lasting!!(Will be putting up a post on glitters then you'll know where i got those big hex glitters from..)

I tried my level best to capture the beauty of this mani but my efforts and even 8MP cam is not doing justice to it..In person this mani is worth goggling!!
I am so sorry I can't give you the pictures or names Of polishes I used as I'll have to search them and I am too tired..

A Beginners Guide To Nailart Part 1

 Hellllo :) happy morningzzz..
This was something I think I should have posted earlier.Nail art is something which is noticed by everybody be it man or woman ,many of us wish to indulge into it but don't know where to start with..In this part we will discuss about gathering all the stuff required.. you don't need much to get that wow look on your nails..Well,let's get started..

According to the budget, I have categorized all the stuff..

If you don't want to spend much :

1.spend on some basic colors of nail paints like  black,white,red,silver and gold.

2.Get Nailart pens,but do try them before buying (I din't had good experience with some of them as the color that appeared on the bottle was quiet opaque but on nails it wasn't!)

3.Get glitter polishes..On days when you are lazy but want a dash of glamour on you nails these will come to your rescue ;)

If you can spend further :

4.Get acrylic colors ! They are so easy to work with as compared to nail paints.(CAUTION : always use acrylic colours after applying a base nailpaint of your choice,Don't use them directly on you nails.)

5.Rhinestones to add bling.A good alternative to them are little stone bindi's that are easily available and affordable

6.Buy nail art stickers,with these without much fuss you get nails with wow factor.

7.Get glitters,the powder ones.

And for those who can get extravagant :

8.Get nail art stamping kits.Stamping is hard to  master so if you own a kit don't throw it away cuz you feel it doesn't work , practice more!

9. Embellishment wheel or rhinestone wheel.

10.Nail art strips.They are for those who complain of being unable to draw let alone nail art..these are like stickers that cover the whole area of you nail and last quiet long,but pricey and rarely available
